Program Officer – Food Security And Livelihood (FSL)

Contract Type: Fixed Term 
Contract Duration: up to June 2019 (Extendable subject to Funding and Performance) 
Duty Station: Nawalparasi Ramgram with extensive travel to field areas 

Main Responsibilities: 

• Support in Planning, implementing and ensuring the quality FSL activities with emphasis on WASH and Nutrition
  
• Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation 
  
• Participate in the coordination, representation and partnerships of FSL sector 
  
• Participate in the evaluation and reorientation of the project
  
• Supervise and manage the project team of partner NGO
  
• Communication, linkage and networking with different stakeholders, farmers, partners and local government
  

Qualification and required skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (preferably horticulture) with at least 3 years of experience in Food security and livelihood or Masters’ degree in Agriculture with 1 years’ of experience
  
• Project management capacity & experience 
  
• Ability to analyze a situation, synthesize information and use the outputs to improve implementation 
  
• Good Facilitation skills
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  
• Comfortable in remote work environments 
  
• Sensitive and responsive to Gender, Age Diversity and Social Inclusion 
  
• Has understanding about diversity in work place and has team skills. 
  
• Good oral and written skills in English and Nepali. 
  
• Computer skills in navigating email, internet and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  
• Exposure to WASH programme would be an added advantage
