Civic Space Nepal (CSN) is seeking an experienced and motivated Program Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of initiatives focused on civic engagement, youth leadership, public dialogue, and professional development.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of civic participation, leadership development, education, and democratic engagement. You will manage fellowships, mentorships, and policy dialogues today; and help build the next generation of civic engagement, leadership, and democratic participation programs in Nepal tomorrow.
About Civic Space Nepal
Civic Space Nepal (CSN) is a social enterprise dedicated to strengthening civic engagement, critical thinking, leadership, and democratic participation. Through fellowships, mentorship programs, policy dialogues, leadership development initiatives, research, and educational programs, CSN works with young people, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners to cultivate informed, engaged, and capable changemakers.
CSN's initiatives include civic leadership fellowships, mentorship and professional development programs, policy engagement platforms, the Nepal Election Debates Initiative (NEDI), and Tarkashala, a debate and argumentation education platform that equips young people with critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills.
With a growing team of professionals, CSN is expanding its portfolio of programs and partnerships across civic engagement, youth leadership, democratic participation, and education. As a mission-driven social enterprise operating through a for-profit model, CSN combines entrepreneurial approaches with social impact to build sustainable and scalable initiatives.
The Role
The Program Manager will oversee a growing portfolio of civic engagement programs reaching young people across Nepal and implemented in partnership with national and international organizations.
The role will focus primarily on managing fellowship programs, mentorship initiatives, policy dialogues, youth leadership programs, and professional development series. While the primary focus will be CSN's civic engagement portfolio, the Program Manager will also support strategic initiatives under the Nepal Election Debates Initiative (NEDI) and Tarkashala.
Approximately 70% of the role will focus on program management and delivery, while 30% will focus on program design, fundraising, partnership development, research, and strategic growth.
