Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

General

Create, manage and implement effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of the school
Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behaviour
Develop student, staffs and parents relationship
Develop academic planning including teaching curriculum development in accordance with the school’s educational philosophy
Build and develop good public relationship with various stakeholders of school
Prepare quarterly, semi annually and yearly progress report of programs

Teacher and Staffs

Develop job description for teachers/staff of school in cordinance with SMC
Recruit, hire, train, fire (if necessary) staffs
Provide academic staff (teachers) supervision
Report progress, challenges and sortcomings to the concerned authorities

Finance

Prepare the annual budget together with the school treasurer to be presented to the SMC for approval three months in advance of the school year
Manage and maintain accountability for all income and expenditures of the school, authorizing expenses as they are in the budget plan
Approve expenditures according to the school’s financial policy

Note:

Travel facility from Kathmandu to Yangri valley at Sindhupalchowk including daily fooding and lodging services is provided by the organization.

Master’s in education with 5 years of prior experience in education filed
Training and teaching: understand the concept of imparting knowledge and skills in people
Leadership skills: have the ability to lead, motivate, instruct, correct, control staff/teachers
Management skills: bring human resources and material to bear upon the task in effective (goal oriented) and efficient (least costly) manners
Interpersonal skills: communicate clearly and openly with teachers, students, school management committee (SMC), government agencies, funding donors, and other concerned parties/agencies
IT/computer skills: Word, Excel
