Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a responsible Visa Support Officer – Australia (Onshore) to assist international students with onshore student visa applications and ensure compliance with Australian immigration requirements. The role involves document assessment, application processing, client communication, and ongoing support throughout the visa process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with onshore Student Visa (Subclass 500) applications, extensions, and variations.
Review and assess documentation to ensure compliance with Australian immigration requirements.
Prepare, complete, and lodge visa applications accurately via ImmiAccount.
Guide clients in preparing Genuine Student (GS) / GTE statements and supporting evidence.
Monitor visa conditions and ensure clients comply with visa regulations.
Liaise with education providers regarding Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) updates, deferrals, and course changes.
Communicate with clients regarding documentation requirements, application progress, and updates.
Track visa applications and follow up on pending cases where necessary.
Provide advice on bridging visas and visa status during processing periods.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in internal systems.
Assist in preparing responses to Requests for Further Information (RFI) and NOICR (Notice of Intention to Consider Refusal).
Stay updated on changes in Australian immigration policies and student visa regulations.
Support clients in understanding visa refusals and advise on reapplication or next steps.
Coordinate with migration agents or senior consultants on complex cases.
Deliver professional, timely, and ethical client service throughout the visa process.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in student visa processing, migration consultancy, or international education services.
Strong knowledge of Australian student visa processes, particularly Subclass 500 requirements.
Familiarity with systems such as ImmiAccount and education provider portals.
Understanding of Genuine Student (GS) / GTE requirements and supporting documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.
Ability to handle multiple client files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good client service and interpersonal skills with a professional approach.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
Basic understanding of visa compliance, bridging visas, and immigration updates.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex cases with guidance.
Willingness to stay updated with changes in Australian immigration policies and procedures.

Working Days: Monday - Friday
