Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a passionate and innovative MYP Language and Literature Teacher (English – IB Design) to inspire and educate students in our vibrant learning community. The ideal candidate will be student‑centered, creative, and experienced in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum, with a strong focus on developing critical thinking, communication, and literacy skills.

Academic Session: 2026–2027

Key Responsibilities

Teach English Language and Literature to students in the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
Design and assess student work against subject-specific criteria and learning objectives.
Support students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
Collaborate with colleagues in unit planning, interdisciplinary learning, and school initiatives.
Provide timely feedback to support student growth and progress.
Participate actively in school events, professional development, and IB-related activities.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Prior teaching experience at middle school level (IB MYP experience preferred).
Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and collaborative practices.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Basic ICT skills like word processing.
