About the job

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Integrate data storage solutions, which may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to improve application functionality and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain code quality and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Node.js development.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, including the JavaScript object model and ES6+ syntax.
• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.
• Understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
