Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Mechanical Overseer will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical activities in the hydropower project, ensuring efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and at least 1 year of experience in a hydropower project.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems to ensure their performance and safety.
Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues and provide timely solutions.
Supervise and coordinate with the mechanical team to carry out installation, repair, and maintenance work.
Prepare daily reports and document all mechanical activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment and systems.
Recommend improvements and modifications to existing mechanical systems for better performance.
Keep track of inventory and order necessary materials and equipment.
Train and mentor new members of the mechanical team.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Diploma/ CTEVT certificate in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized educational institution.
At least 1 year of experience in a hydropower project.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Note: The applicants will be working onsite at the Khijidemba Rural Municipality in Okhaldhunga.
