About the job

We are looking for high performing Mechanical Engineer - Design and CAD to join our team. The person should have extensive experience in working with system requirements, CAD modeling and different certification programs and processes. The individual should share the passion to engineer the best electric motorcycle in the world. We are constantly looking to innovate and adopt new technologies, so you should be able to embrace constant learning.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer at Yatri Motorcycles.

Support the development team in system requirement generation by bringing in verification and certification topics.
Responsible for generating a list of requirements for the product that address the market opportunities.
Design and development of mechanical components/systems.
CAD modeling of specific components and stress analysis of failure mechanisms according to best engineering practices.
Providing support in the design of CAD drawings (2D and 3D) of parts, jigs and fixtures.
Providing support to production and assembly during the production of prototypes.
Defining Bill of Materials (BOM) documents, writing technical and integration documents and test reports.
Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures.
Assist in checking and approval of test plans.
Constantly learn new things – and share them with your team members.
Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks.

Qualifications

Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering skills
Product Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills
Experience in designing and engineering electric vehicles
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
