Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-focused Math Teacher to teach Grade 5 students. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of primary-level mathematics and the ability to make mathematical concepts simple, engaging, and easy for students to understand.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons for Grade 5 students.
Explain mathematical concepts using simple, practical, and engaging teaching methods.
Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, assignments, and learning materials.
Assess students’ learning through classwork, homework, tests, and examinations.
Identify students’ learning gaps and provide appropriate support and guidance.
Encourage students to develop logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Monitor students’ academic progress and provide regular feedback.
Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, performance, and assessment results.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress when required.
Participate in school activities, meetings, training, and other academic programs.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school management to support students’ overall development.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
Relevant teaching training and a valid teaching certificate/license.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good classroom management and student-handling abilities.
Passion for teaching and ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Knowledge of MS Office, Zoom, Canva, Google Classroom, and other educational technology/software.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school management.
