Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lower Secondary Science teacher to join our team. The Science teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students. This position offers a great opportunity for growth, career development, and working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons to lower secondary students following the school's curriculum and standards
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to ensure effective learning and student engagement.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and academic growth.
Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods such as tests, quizzes, and assignments.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on students’ academic progress.
Participate in school events and activities, including parent-teacher conferences, department meetings, and workshops.
Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of Science and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies in the classroom.

Bachelor's degree in Science with minimum First Division
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the lower secondary level
Strong knowledge of science concepts and principles, and the ability to effectively convey them to students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians
Innovative and adaptable to different teaching methods and technologies
