Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) is a federation of 17 organizations across 14 countries dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the global inclusion of young people (18-24 years old) who face extreme poverty and exclusion.

Approximately 85% of LP4Y beneficiaries are young women, many of whom are young mothers. To ensure their success in our programs, which run five days a week from early morning until late afternoon, reliable childcare is essential.

LP4Y has established Little Angels Academies (LAA) to provide a safe, nurturing environment where the children of these young mothers can thrive. In line with our mission to empower women, LAAs also welcome the children of star mothers (alumni) and employed mothers, enabling them to fully dedicate themselves to their new professional lives.

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LAA Catalyst to support young mothers participating in our training programs by providing high-quality care for their children.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide care and supervision for 10-15 children, aged 6 months to 5 years.
Organize and lead various activities (creative, sports, language, LAA shows) that stimulate the children’s development.
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Ensure the environment is safe, clean.
Attend to the children's hygiene needs, including cleaning and changing them as necessary.
Maintain a well-managed budget and oversee financial aspects of the LAA.
Schedule regular medical check-ups
Organize excursions for the children.
Conduct awareness sessions for mothers on topics related to child care and development.

Skills Required:

Responsible, dedicated, and hardworking.
Flexible, patient, and understanding.
A nurturing, motherly disposition combined with natural authority.
Proactive in taking initiatives and developing educational and entertaining activities for children.
Good English communication skills.
At least one prior experience working with children.

Requirements:

A motivation letter and resume.
Mandatory Experience and/or a diploma in childcare
Must be 24 years or older.
Appreciated having laptop

Work Conditions:

5 days per week, from 8:45 am to 5:30 pm.
Net salary: 29000
Location: Gairigaon-32, Tinkune Kathmandu

LP4Y supports the decent inclusion of thousands of young people and their families in 41 programs, 20 Training & Development Centers, 6 Green Villages, 4 Little Angel Academies, 2 LP4Y Labs in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America.

Over the past 15 years LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Calauan, Jakarta, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, and Beirut. Currently, we are 140 Catalysts in Asia working with Young Adults contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009,9300 youth have been accompanied to the professional world.

LP4Y Nepal

ACCOMPANY young women through 2 professional training Centers in Budhanilkantha and Tinkune. Since date, more than 1000 Youth have taken leadership and got empowered through our pedagogy.

ENGAGE the Ecosystem: LP4Y Nepal aims to involve multi-layers and horizons actors for Youth inclusion. By involving corporates, NGOs and institutions to take actions and be more Youth inclusive organizations. They engage through professional exposure with the Youth, participate in different networks and events linked to Youth inclusion to share best practices.

CAMPAIGN for Youth Inclusion, through international, national and regional events where Youth, Catalysts and partners can share their experiences.
