We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Officer to join our legal team. As a Legal Officer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters affecting the organization. This role requires a thorough understanding of corporate law, contract negotiation, compliance issues, and risk management. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely legal advice to management and other stakeholders on various legal issues.
• Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties and vendors.
• Draft and review contracts to protect the organization's interests.
• Monitor compliance with legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks within the organization.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters when necessary.
• Assist in managing disputes and legal proceedings involving the organization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal training sessions for staff on relevant legal issues and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited institution; Master's degree in Law (LLM) preferred.
• Proven 5 years of experience working as a Legal Officer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and legal procedures.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
