About the job

Company: A Leading FMCG Multinational Corporation

Location: Kathmandu

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal support in employment, intellectual property, and commercial law matters.
Draft and review various contracts, agreements, and legal documents and ensure the timely renewal of various Company & Business-related Agreements.
Provide legal advice to Executive Management on legal matters
Provide legal guidance on various business operations, including regulatory compliance, and company policies.
⁠Legal Business Partner to Marketing, Sales, and HR Functions
Ensure compliance with Nepalese laws and regulations related to the FMCG industry and stay updated on legal developments affecting the FMCG sector
Undertake assignments related to the Ministry of Finance, Industry, Labor, National Standards Board, and other related departments.
Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
Conduct legal risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
7 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the FMCG
Strong understanding of compliance requirements, intellectual property rights, drafting, and managing contracts,
In-depth knowledge of Nepalese laws and regulations.
Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment law.
Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal matters in a clear, concise manner.
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Excellent Communication and Analytical skills
