Roles and responsibilities of this job

Lab Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized lab tests with accuracy and efficiency, including operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, supervising junior staff, and complying with regulatory requirements and laboratory accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform hematology, biochemistry and immunology tests as assigned.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers.
Validate and review test results before reporting.
Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with biosafety, infection control, and waste management guidelines.
Supervise and guide laboratory assistants, phlebotomists, and junior staff when required.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC).
Minimum 2–3 years of laboratory experience preferred (fresh graduates may apply if competent).
Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
Ability to operate automated analyzers and laboratory information systems.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Hours: Full-time, as per the laboratory schedule (shift duties may be required).
