Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Microbiologist / Biotech professional to support microbiological testing, soil analysis, quality control, and bio-fertilizer production processes. The candidate will work closely with the laboratory and production teams in conducting microbiological and soil testing procedures, maintaining microbial cultures, and ensuring product quality standards in agricultural biotechnology manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and prepare fertilizer and soil samples for microbiological and soil analysis.
Perform standard microbiological tests such as plate counts, serial dilution, microbial identification, and enumeration of microbial strains.
Conduct soil microbiology testing and analyze soil health parameters relevant to agricultural productivity.
Analyze data from microbial and soil assays and accurately record and report findings.
Maintain, propagate, and preserve microbial cultures used in bio-fertilizer production.
Monitor fermentation and microbial growth processes and support process optimization.
Conduct routine quality control and quality assurance checks to ensure microbial content and product quality meet company standards.
Assist in research and development activities focused on new microbial strains and improved bio-fertilizer efficacy.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment properly.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and order in the microbiology and soil testing laboratory.
Follow all safety protocols, laboratory guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support production and technical teams in agricultural biotechnology and fertilizer manufacturing processes.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related Science field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in agriculture, fertilizer manufacturing, microbiology laboratory, or related field.
Knowledge of soil testing and microbiological laboratory procedures.
Basic understanding of microbial identification, culture techniques, and fermentation processes.
Strong laboratory handling and documentation skills.
Attention to detail with accurate data recording ability.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
