Position Overview:

The Junior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our lighting company's factory based in Bhairahawa. This position primarily focuses on assisting with various accounting tasks, including financial record keeping, inventory management, cost analysis, and budgeting. The Junior Accountant works closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and reconcile bank transactions, credit card statements, and other financial documentation.

2. Inventory Management:

Track and reconcile inventory levels in the factory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate costing and valuation of inventory.

3. Compliance and Documentation:

Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and financial reviews.
Support the finance team in addressing inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Note: Remuneration and benefits will be based on experience and will not be a constraint for deserving candidates.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and understanding of inventory valuation methods.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to financial operations.
