Vacancy Announcement: InCharge-Compliance and Risk Management

Himalayan Securities Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Himalayan Bank Limited and a Full-Service Brokerage Firm, is seeking applications from dynamic, and self-motivated individuals for the role of Incharge-Compliance and Risk Management.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Frame and oversee implementation of policies, byelaws, and SOPs in line with emerging risk management practices and compliance requirements that ensure the operations and business of the firm comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance to AML/CFT/KYC guidelines of regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct periodic internal monitoring to ensure that the business and operations of the firm is in compliance with applicable rules and regulations as well as internal policies, byelaws, and SOPs.
  • Ensure timely internal and external reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies regarding reporting, confirmations, and proceedings.
  • Frame risk management policies/ provisions  that minimize the risk exposure of the firm.
  • Disburse knowledge through coordination/training to employees regarding compliance, AML/CFT/KYC requirements of the firm and procedures that need to be followed to ensure the same.

Core Activities

  • Ensure operational and business activities of the firm adheres to compliance requirements.
  • Frame, oversee, and monitor the internal control and risk management systems of the firm.

Education and Preferred Experience Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound regulatory and legal knowledge.
  • Strong integrity, innovation, and intuitive skills.
  • Team Player, Result Oriented, and self-driven with a positive outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/Finance/Business/Accounts/Related Subject. Bachelor’s degree in Law would be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in similar function.

Salary and Benefits 

The Annual Cost to Company (ACTC) for this position will range between NPR 399,000 and NPR 906,000. A successful candidate’s pay may fall within this range, actual pay will be based on the candidates qualifications, specific skills, and experience. The Benefits associated with the position are as below:

  • Allowances: General Allowance, Communication Allowance, Fuel Allowance, Festive Allowance and Force Leave Allowance.
  • Insurance: Medical and Accidental Insurance, Life Insurance under Endowment Scheme and Critical Illness Coverage.
  • Others: Leaves, Retirement Benefits and Bonuses as per Labor Act.
