Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Hostel Assistant for Girls Hostel to ensure a safe, supportive, and well-organized living environment for students. The successful candidate will assist in managing hostel operations, maintaining discipline, and providing welfare support to students while ensuring compliance with hostel policies.

Reporting To: Administration

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all hostel students.
Act as the primary point of contact for students staying in the hostel.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and leave.
Oversee the registration and allocation of rooms to students.
Supervise housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance of the hostel premises.
Ensure hostel rules and regulations are adhered to by all students.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for all students.
Monitor visitor entry and exit in compliance with hostel policies.
Be available on-call to handle any emergencies (medical, behavioral, etc.).
Liaise with medical facilities or the college administration in case of any major incidents.
Foster a positive and inclusive hostel culture through events, activities, or workshops.
Mediate conflicts among students to ensure a harmonious living environment.

Work Schedule and Benefits

Work Hours: Full-time; required to stay in the hostel or be available during non-office hours.
Accommodation: Free accommodation and meals provided within the hostel premises.
Leave: As per institutional policies

Note: Priority will be given to Female candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Management).
Previous experience as a hostel warden or in a supervisory role (preferably in an educational setting).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluency in Nepali and English.
Basic computer skills (MS Office).
