Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our printing press team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing high-quality artwork for various printing requirements, including brochures, flyers, business cards, books, calendars, banners, posters, certificates, folders, packaging materials, and other promotional materials.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of print design and pre-press processes and be able to prepare error-free, print-ready files according to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design creative artwork for various printing and promotional materials.
Prepare print-ready files according to required size, bleed, margins, resolution, and color specifications.
Work on designs for brochures, flyers, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, books, magazines, calendars, folders, certificates, banners, posters, stickers, and other printed materials.
Communicate with clients to understand their design requirements and make necessary revisions.
Check artwork carefully for spelling, alignment, image quality, dimensions, and other errors before printing.
Prepare files for different printing processes and materials.
Coordinate with the printing and production team to ensure designs are suitable for production.
Make necessary corrections and adjustments based on proofing and client feedback.
Maintain proper organization and backup of design files.
Assist in creating layouts and designs for large-volume commercial printing projects.
Ensure consistency with client branding, colors, fonts, and design guidelines.
Manage multiple design projects and meet production deadlines.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in a printing press or similar design environment.
Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.Nepali typing is most.
Good understanding of CMYK, RGB, Pantone, DPI, bleed, crop marks, and print resolution.
Knowledge of different paper sizes, paper types, printing materials, and finishing processes.
Basic understanding of offset printing, digital printing, flex printing, and large-format printing is preferred.
Good knowledge of typography, layout, color combination, Color seperation, and visual composition.
Ability to create and modify designs according to customer requirements.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with practical experience in printing press operations, pre-press, plate preparation, digital printing, offset printing, or large-format printing will be given preference.
