Geospatial Surveyor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Geospatial Surveyor to process, analyze, and validate drone, aerial imagery, and LiDAR data for accurate geospatial deliverables. The role involves producing orthomosaics, point clouds, DSMs, DTMs, contours, and 3D surfaces, as well as performing stockpile, cut-and-fill, and earthwork volume calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process aerial drone and LiDAR data using photogrammetry and point-cloud software to produce orthomosaics, point clouds, DSMs, DTMs, contours, and 3D models
• Review imagery and LiDAR data for coverage, overlap, resolution, exposure, distortion, noise, classification errors, and alignment issues
• Validate outputs using survey control, ground control points, and independent checkpoints; assess horizontal and vertical accuracy
• Prepare accuracy validation reports
• Review calibration, alignment, control-point placement, reprojection errors, and processing settings across imagery and LiDAR workflows
• Perform stockpile, excavation, cut-and-fill, and surface-to-surface volume computations
• Review boundaries, base surfaces, breaklines, and surface quality before finalizing outputs
• Maintain processing records, metadata, validation results, and QA documentation
• Collaborate with surveyors, drone pilots, engineers, and clients to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processing and reporting workflows
