Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporate partners, donor agencies, institutions, and community networks. This is a hybrid, 5-day-a-week role (Monday to Friday) combining remote work with periodic in-office or in-person engagement, and the candidate must be able to work independently, maintain regular communication, and provide weekly progress reporting every Friday. The role also offers performance-based incentives tied to fundraising targets and milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the foundation's programs and projects.
Identify potential donors, sponsors, CSR partners, grant opportunities, and institutional funding sources.
Prepare fundraising proposals, sponsorship decks, donor letters, concept notes, and grant applications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate houses, NGOs, INGOs, government bodies, and community stakeholders.
Organize fundraising campaigns, virtual donor meetings, and outreach activities.
Coordinate with the internal team to understand project needs, budgets, and impact goals.
Maintain donor databases, communication records, and follow-up schedules.
Prepare weekly fundraising progress reports and submit updates every Friday.
Share donor communication updates, pipeline status, follow-up progress, and funding opportunities on a weekly basis.
Represent the foundation professionally in online meetings, networking events, and partnership discussions.
Support branding, storytelling, and communication activities related to fundraising campaigns.
Track progress against fundraising targets and contribute to incentive-linked milestone reviews.

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Development Studies, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, CSR partnerships, NGO/INGO sector, or sales/marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
Ability to write professional proposals, donor letters, sponsorship documents, and grant applications.
Strong networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of grants, CSR funding, sponsorships, and donor engagement is preferred.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a hybrid work setup.
Ability to maintain clear weekly reporting and communication.
Passion for social work, community development, and humanitarian impact.

Preferred Qualities

Existing network with corporate houses, donor agencies, NGOs, INGOs, or government bodies.
Experience in organizing fundraising events or digital campaigns.
Ability to create compelling impact stories and funding pitches.
Comfortable with digital tools, email outreach, spreadsheets, video meetings, and basic documentation.
Disciplined, accountable, and able to manage tasks independently across both remote and in-office work days.

Work Arrangement & Schedule

This is a hybrid position with a standard 5-working-day week (Monday – Friday), combining remote work with periodic in-office/in-person days as required.
The candidate must be available for regular online communication and coordination with the foundation team during agreed working hours.
Weekly progress reporting is mandatory every Friday.
Reports should include donor leads, communication updates, proposal progress, follow-up status, upcoming opportunities, and challenges if any.
Weekends (Saturday–Sunday) are reserved as non-working days. The weekly progress report is due on the last working day, Friday.

Compensation & Incentives

Monthly base salary of NPR 80,000 – 90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Performance-based incentives linked to fundraising targets, successful grant awards, and new donor/partner acquisition.
Milestone bonuses for securing major donors, corporate sponsorships, or institutional grants.
Incentive structure and targets will be discussed and agreed upon during onboarding, with periodic reviews.
