JOB DESCRIPTION: FINANCE OFFICER

Job Title: Finance Officer

Designation: Finance Officer

Reports to: Assistant Finance Manager

Location: Birtamod, Jhapa , Nepal

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Position Overview

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the financial transactions and records of the organization. S/he is to ensure the financial stability of an organization by managing its budget, forecasting financial trends, and creating financial reports.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare Financial Reports

Maintaining financial records and ensuring their accuracy.
Monitoring cash flow and preparing cash flow statements.
Preparing and submitting financial reports to senior management.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
Prepare balance sheets and invoices.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
Managing budgets and ensuring that they are followed.

Finance Analysis

Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
Contribute to financial audits.

Coordination

Coordinating with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Task Related

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Competencies and Soft Skills

Should have knowledge of VAT and TAX.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail.
