Population Services International/Nepal (PSI/Nepal) began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector, and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. PSI/Nepal has been capacitating private sector health services delivery system since last two decades and in parallel providing technical assistance to strengthen public health facilities to deliver primary health care and increase access to family planning and reproductive health services. PSI/Nepal with its expertise and experience in social and behavior change communication, clinical quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and digital health interventions focuses on designing client centered health care projects to address reproductive health challenges affecting women of reproductive age. With an emphasis on consumer powered health care, PSI/Nepal invests in improving health care market for product and services, and develop solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality. In the past, PSI/Nepal has successfully managed HIV, malaria, menstrual hygiene management and health and hygiene projects. Currently, it works in areas of family planning, sexual and reproductive health and maternal and newborn health with health systems strengthening at its core. Finance Manager: Based in Kathmandu

The Finance Manager is primarily accountable for implementing and administering financial, accounting and reporting activities of the Country Office. S/he is accountable for financial, G&C management developing & maintaining financial control, overseeing accurate data entry into financial software and accounting system, leading financial verification and reporting ensuring compliance with standard policies and procedures.  

Experience and Qualification:

  • A master’s degree in financial management or Business Administration or equivalent degrees from a recognized university. International level certification and training on financial management would represent a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in managerial position an international development organization/financial Institution in a similar context
  • Strong leadership, conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated organizational and management skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across the organization
  • Comprehensive understanding of the development sector, its operating and regulatory environment along with the financial management issues related to I/NGOs
  • Advance knowledge in MS office applications (word, excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) along with the QuickBooks system used by PSI.
  • Willingness to travel in PSI working area of Nepal and for partners’ assessment, capacity building, monitoring, and support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali
