DAPL advises international investors bringing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Nepal as well as local organizations wishing to stimulate the private sector and enhance governance and regulations. DAPL clients include the fund managers of Dolma Impact Fund I & II (AUM USD 100MN+), the first international private equity fund dedicated to Nepal.

Under the overall supervision of Head of Operations, the Executive Receptionist will perform the following duties:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and classified. Cross-check supporting documents to file them properly with vouchers.
  • Ensure transactions in accounting software on a daily basis.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare various financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations and ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Implementing audit action plans based on auditor recommendations.
  • Ensure all financial records are organized and readily available for audit purposes.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and company policies. Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Monitor advances, debtors, and creditors monthly, reporting to the line manager as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
  • Prior experience as an Accountant.
  • ACCA/CA final candidate will be given preference.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Advanced MS Office skills. Proficient in using Tally Software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Nepali
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills Ability to work in a team as well as work independently.
