Roles and responsibilities of this job

As the Finance and Admin Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team's efforts to conduct a political economy analysis of foreign labor migration from Madhesh province of Nepal. You will be responsible for financial management, administrative tasks, and providing logistical support to ensure the smooth operation of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing financial transactions, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reporting.
Assisting in the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, budgets, and financial reports.
Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Coordinating administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and maintaining office supplies.
Providing logistical support for project activities, workshops, and events.
Collaborating with team members to ensure project milestones are met effectively and efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor's degree preferably with some experience in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field of an NGO or donor funded projects.
Proven experience in financial management and administrative support, preferably in the context of research or development projects.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word and familiarity with accounting tools.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Fluency in English and Nepali languages is required.

Duration: Initially 3 months of probation period and likely to be extended based on scope of the project and available funding.

NSC has also completed research programs in coordination with different education and health institutions and is currently involved with a pilot study in ‘social science for social justice. ’NSC has also completed film workshops.
