Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Plan, develop and deliver lessons that meets the curriculum objectives
Prepare instructional aids, supplemental teaching materials and resources consistent with learning objectives
Maximize the appropriate use of technology in the classroom as an instructional tool
Develop students' speaking and writing skills and encourage them to develop critical thinking skills
Create a safe and flexible classroom environment conducive to optimal student learning
Help students to work independently and collaboratively in groups
Establish and monitor appropriate behavior of students in extra-curricular activities
Prepare and administer assessments that are aligned with the curriculum
Keep parents or guardians informed of students' academic progress and social and behavioral issues
Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to review students' progress
Maintain accurate and complete student records including attendance, grades, assessments, and test scores as required
Participate in general meetings and training sessions
Undertake professional development activities to ensure continued professional growth and development of teaching skills

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Master's degree in English
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience (preferably in secondary level)
Should be familiar with BLE and SEE curriculum structure
sound knowledge and skills in progressive teaching and classroom management
intensive knowledge of subject matter including subject-specific curriculum and assessments
proficient in the use of technology and computer applications as required
Able to work in a multicultural and diverse team
