Role Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Part time Teacher to provide instruction to students for Bachelor level. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in English language, literature, and composition, and be capable of developing lesson plans that engage and challenge students at these advanced levels. The teacher will help students improve their reading comprehension, writing skills, and critical thinking abilities through various instructional methods and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Planning and Delivery:

Design and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans for graduate students.
Teach a range of English topics, including but not limited to grammar, literature analysis, creative writing, essay composition, and academic writing.
Employ a variety of teaching methods (lectures, discussions, group activities, and multimedia resources) to address different learning styles and meet course objectives.

Classroom Management:

Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, participation, and active learning.
Set and enforce rules for behavior, attendance, and assignment submission to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Prepare and administer quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects to assess student understanding and progress.
Provide constructive feedback and grade assignments fairly, maintaining accurate records of student performance.
Track and report on student progress, identifying areas where additional support may be needed.

Professional Development and Collaboration:

Stay updated on current trends, research, and techniques in English language teaching and literature.
Participate in school or university professional development programs, workshops, and meetings.
Collaborate with other faculty and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and maintain consistency in curriculum standards.

Student Support and Mentorship:

Offer additional help and guidance to students as needed, including after-school or office hours.
Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive environment that encourages academic growth and confidence.

Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in college level is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Ability to teach complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
