Emergency Medical Dispatcher

Nepal Ambulance Service is a service ordinated organization working in pre-hospital care. NAS invites applications from qualified, experienced and dynamic Nepali citizens for Emergency Medical Dispatcher who is responsible for having good public relation, sound knowledge in call center. Good knowledge in dealing with patients, acknowledging the patient situation and convey proper message to the concern person as per the organization rule and regulation Also need to follow up the protocol of Dispatcher while represented as Emergency Medical Dispatcher in Nepal Ambulance Service 102.

Duties and Responsibilities:

An emergency medical dispatcher plays an important part in the ambulance service control team. They perform various tasks to ensure a prompt response to calls for the ambulance service. Their typical duties and responsibilities include:

• Handling initial calls for emergency and non-emergency situations
• Assessing the nature of calls and determining a proper response
• Logging call information, such as caller’s name, location, parties involved, nature of the call and any other pertinent details
• Using a two-way radio system to relay all information to paramedics

Emergency Medical Dispatcher Skills and Qualification:

• Minimum Qualifications and Experiences Required - CMA, Staff Nurse, HA, ANM passed with  2 years experience in a related field.
  
• Ability to handle the phone system in order to answer calls quickly
  
• Strong communication skills 
• In-depth knowledge of medical terms and their communication
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations
• Advanced medical knowledge to help callers handle emergency situations while the ambulance is in transit
• Ability to read maps and knowledge of local geography

Note: Salary will be negotiated commensurate with knowledge and experiences.
