Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and devices within the hospital to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency. The Electrician must work in a fast-paced environment with minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install new electrical systems, equipment, and devices, including lighting, power outlets and air-condition.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems, equipment, and devices to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with electrical systems, equipment, and devices to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and devices to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as electrical outages or equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruption to patient care.
  • Communication: Collaborate with other hospital staff, including nurses, doctors, and maintenance personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Infection Control: Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that electrical systems, equipment, and devices are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
