Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our renewable energy team. The selected candidates will be responsible for the design, analysis, documentation, and execution of on-grid solar power projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity to build a professional career in the fast-growing solar and renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and optimize on-grid solar power systems.
Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and system drawings using AutoCAD.
Perform energy yield analysis and system simulation using PVSyst.
Use GIS tools for site assessment, layout planning, and feasibility analysis.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings required for project approval, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct site visits and surveys to assess technical feasibility and support project execution.
Coordinate with project, installation, and commissioning teams for smooth implementation of projects.
Supervise installation activities and support testing and commissioning of solar power systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in solar, electrical, or power projects.
Fresh graduates with strong knowledge of solar power systems and relevant technical software may also apply.
Field experience in overhead transmission line projects will be highly appreciated.
Experience or knowledge of overhead transmission line projects will be considered an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should have proficiency or working knowledge of:

AutoCAD
PVSyst
GIS tools
On-grid solar PV systems
Solar inverters and electrical equipment
Grid interconnection standards
Electrical layouts, SLDs, and technical drawings
Basic understanding of transmission line systems will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

Must own a two-wheeler and be willing to travel to project sites as required.
Willingness to work at project sites inside or outside Kathmandu Valley.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn in a practical project environment.
