Role overview

District project officer will support implementing partners in planning, implementation and resource and financial management. The DPO has to coordinate with the local government and support in formation and implementation of inclusive SIP.

Required knowledge, experience and skills for this role are:

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in social science/ Management or relevant field.

Experience:

  • 3 years of progressive project implementation experience.
  • Practical experience in financial management of project budget and monitoring and managing expenditure.
  • Prior experience of working in development issues or with local schools/communities at education management level.
  • Experience of report writing.
  • Proven experience of working in diverse and multicultural team.
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who have prior experience of working in inclusive education project for adolescence girls and children with disability.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Activity planning, facilitation, and planning/follow-up skills
  • IT (MS office) proficiency.
  • Able to frequently travel is desirable
  • Experience of working with/as volunteer.
  • Ability to understand and speak local language of the district/community.
  • Fluent in English and Nepali language (writing and speaking)
