Binaytara is a US-based global oncology equity nonprofit and the largest continuing education provider for oncology professionals in the United States. Through the Binaytara Cancer Research Institute and programs internationally, including in Nepal and Nigeria, Binaytara works to close cancer care gaps in underserved regions. In Nepal, Binaytara has partnered with Binaytara Cancer Trust to deliver care through Binaytara Health Clinic in Janakpur, run cancer screening programs across the region, and establish a dedicated cancer hospital in Janakpur to expand access to treatment.

Position Summary

The Director of Finance and Administration will lead financial management and administrative operations for Binaytara's Nepal country office. This role ensures financial integrity, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all Nepal-based programs, while working collaboratively with Binaytara Cancer Trust to ensure that programs supported by Binaytara are successful. The Director will bring strong technical finance skills together with the relationship management needed to coordinate effectively across a US-based nonprofit and its Nepali implementing partner.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Compliance

Oversee all financial operations for the Nepal country office, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
Manage annual and program-specific audits, ensuring full compliance with Nepali statutory requirements (Social Welfare Council, Inland Revenue Department, applicable NGO/INGO regulations) and Binaytara's internal financial policies
Ensure compliance with donor financial requirements and grant reporting obligations, including any US-based funding restrictions
Maintain internal controls, procurement policies, and financial recordkeeping systems appropriate to a nonprofit operating across US and Nepali jurisdictions
Prepare timely, accurate financial reports for Binaytara's US headquarters, board, and relevant funders

Partnership with Binaytara Cancer Trust

Work collaboratively with Binaytara Cancer Trust to ensure that programs supported by Binaytara are successful on the ground
Serve as the primary point of coordination with Binaytara Cancer Trust on financial and administrative matters
Work collaboratively with Cancer Trust leadership to align financial systems, procurement practices, and reporting cadences across the two organizations
Support joint program budgeting and monitor shared or co-funded initiatives to ensure funds are tracked and utilized appropriately

Administration & Operations

Manage administrative functions for the Nepal country office: HR administration, office operations, vendor and contract management, and logistics
Support procurement processes, building on and strengthening existing systems
Ensure administrative practices meet both local regulatory requirements and Binaytara's organizational standards

Reporting & Organizational Support

Provide regular financial and operational updates to Binaytara's leadership team
Support due diligence, audits, and site visits from donors, auditors, or partner organizations
Contribute financial and administrative input to program planning, including for the Janakpur hospital campus and other Nepal-based initiatives

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or professional accounting qualification, e.g., CA/ACCA, preferred)
Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience
Demonstrated experience managing external audits and ensuring compliance with Nepali NGO/INGO financial and regulatory requirements
Experience working with or within international nonprofit organizations, ideally with US-based headquarters or funding relationship
Strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting, grant compliance, and donor reporting
Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills, with demonstrated success managing multi-stakeholder relationships across organizations
Fluency in Nepali and strong professional English (written and spoken)
