Cedar Gate Services is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure department.

Job Summary:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s application server, including application deployment, its releases, performance tuning, monitoring troubleshooting, and reporting critical events to the Management. This is a “hands-on” position that requires solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Build QC, UAT and Production in Linux and Windows machines
Build automation scripting in Linux Shell/Python/Ant/Nant/Batch/Ansible
Code Integration tools - Jenkins or similar
Deploy applications in Tomcat and IIS
Manage applications on Production, QC and UAT
Research on DevOps tools
Code branching & tagging in GIT (AWS code commit)
Configure and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure
Audit and assess software components
Troubleshoot application failures and crashes
Coordinate and communicate with internal teams as required
Document procedural tasks performed by the DevOps team

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
1 year+ of experience in a related field
Basic knowledge of Linux-based operating systems is required
Knowledge of .NET application deployment is preferred
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Service is a must
Knowledge of application release processes
Basic SQL knowledge
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of multi-tier architecture in software engineering
Good analytical, time management, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
Basic knowledge of Java & Grails is an asset
Knowledge of AWS and its features is an asset
