Tanahu Hydropower Limited (THL)

Tanahu Hydropower Limited is the executing agency (EA) for construction of Tanahu Hydropower Project funded by Nepal Government, Nepal Electricity Authority with loan support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). THL is responsible for implementing environmental and social safeguard plans of the project. For this, it has established an Environmental and Social Management Unit (ESMU) to implement various Environmental Management Plans (EMPs). This program is supported by Environmental and Social Monitoring Service Provider (ESMSP) - consultant for preparation and implementation of the various EMPs.

Post: Deputy Manager (Senior Environmental Officer)

Required no: 1

Education and Qualification:

Master degree in environment, forestry, biology, botany, zoology or related field from recognized university.

She/he shall preferably have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in officer level in Level -9
(Required no. 1) relevant field in governmental or any national or international organization.

Working Experience in donor safeguard policy of ADB, EIB, World Bank would be an additional advantage.
Tanahu Hydropower Limited Chundevi Marg, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Salary and Other Benefit:

Salary and other benefits will be as per the company rules and regulation. Selected candidates will be assigned 1-year contract with possibility of extension based on his/her performance.
