Centre for Self-help Development (CSD) is an NGO celebrating its 31 years of operation and works to raise awareness of the rural poor to help them carry out various financial and social capital generation programs. With a rich history of achievements and experiences currently it operates as a network of microfinance institutions and is working for the capacity building of the Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and undertakes study and research on microfinance.

Job Specification

Education Level	:	Graduate (Masters)
Experience Required	:	More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Masters’ Degree (Preferably an MBA or Mass Communication/ Media or related discipline)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (Communication/ Media)
Excellent in English and Nepali (written and oral)
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Must be of a pleasant and confident personality
Experience with hosting and managing events and publication of journals and newsletter both in Nepali and English in print and media is preferred
Technical Knowledge of digital videography and photography together with non-linear editing is not a strict requirement but will be an advantage

Job Location: Primarily based on Kathmandu but may require travel outside

Job Description

The Communication and Media Officer is expected to strengthen the communications and media work of CSD by engaging the broader Microfinance related advocacy issues and raising CSD’s profile, primarily through communication tools, media and events
