Company Description

Code Mantra is a 1 on 1 live online learning platform for kids aged 5-18. We offer a range of courses, including Coding, Math, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and more! Our platform provides a personalized learning experience where students can develop essential 21st-century skills.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Coding Instructor at Code Mantra. As a Coding Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering live online coding lessons to students aged 5-18. Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing and delivering engaging coding lessons, providing personalized guidance to students, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Class Duration: 1 hour

Responsibilities

Deliver the curriculum in a fun and engaging way
Provide feedback for curriculum improvement
Engage, interact with, and motivate students to participate in class
Invest in student success, escalating behavior or learning challenges to lead instructor for follow-up
Preparation, professionalism, and time management are a must.

Requirements

Computer purchased in the last five years, with microphone headset, high-speed internet access, and working webcam
A quiet workspace free of distractions

Qualifications

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch
Experience teaching or tutoring coding to children and teenagers
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of students
Patient, supportive, and motivating attitude towards students
Knowledge of educational technology tools and platforms
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
Candidate with proficiency in English is preferred
Proficiency in creating visually appealing presentations. Familiarity with design principles and experience using tools like Canva to enhance presentation and study materials.
