Job Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python and related frameworks (Django/FastAPI)
Collaborating closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define, architect, and deliver high-quality features
Designing and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support seamless integration with frontend applications
Ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of backend systems through efficient coding practices, optimization, and monitoring
Investigating and resolving technical issues, including bug fixes and performance optimizations
Communicating with clients in the US and presenting application demo to stakeholders

Job Requirements

Skill Set

You are proficient in Python and and have built backend systems using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI)
Experience with other programming languages like JS (NodeJS) is a plus.
You have a strong understanding of RESTful (GraphQL is a plus) API design principles and follow the best practices
You have experience working with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB and know the tradeoffs of different database schema designs.
You are familiar with the basics of containerization with Docker
You do not shy away from presenting your work to the stake holders and can hold fluent communication in English
You have a basic understanding of the world of data analysis and AI in Python (i.e. familiarity with popular libraries or an eagerness and aptitude to learn the relevant concepts)
You have a passion for developing products, not just writing softwares, i.e. you think beyond the JIRA tickets assigned to you and try to understand the business objective behind the software.
You don’t shy away from providing feedback to your colleagues and you don’t get offended when you receive constructive criticism.
You take your own initiatives and don’t wait on your supervisor to tell you what to do
