Roles and responsibilities of this job

Highly motivated and talented ASP.Net Developer Core/MVC with SQL Server Developer to join our growing in-house development team. The ideal candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our core insurance applications and related other systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of critical business applications.

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core/MVC, C#, and SQL Server.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Design and implement database schemas and queries using SQL Server.
Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug existing applications.
Perform unit and integration testing.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web development.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Participate in code reviews.
Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications.
Adhere to company coding standards and best practices.
Enhance and re-write the existing code.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Solid foundation in C# and .NET framework (preferably .NET Core).
Familiarity with ASP.NET Core/MVC framework.
Proficiency in SQL Server database design and development, including writing queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and preferably some modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Requirements:

1-2 years of professional experience in developing ASP. NET Core/MVC applications with SQL Server.
Experience with Entity Framework Core or other ORM tools.
Experience with RESTful API development.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of software design patterns.
Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
