Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Accountant at Sugam Oil Industries is responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The role includes auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements and reports, including the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Manage general ledger accounts and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions.
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile accounts and ensure timely collection and payment processes.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory filings.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
Proficiency in accounting software (FinPro, Vision, etc.)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving attitude
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
