Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Maintain book keeping and Accounting process of the project and official income and expenses
Review advance request & settlement from the project team for implementation of program
Produce monthly financial status report to share with partner, senior team in office and executive board
Prepare for statutory and project periodic financial audit and facilitate audit process
Educate project team on the financial process requirements and procedures
Suggest Office in Charge on the need of amendment and adoption of new policies, procedures on the financial management
Vendor dealing, negotiation and preparation of comparison sheet for vendor selection
Preparation of salary sheet, tax calculation and ensure time transfer of salary, gratuity, social security of employee and deposition of statutory taxes

Benefits and Conditions :

The position is a contract based position with initial contract of 4 months subjected to be renewed for continuation of next one year
Salaries and Benefits are as per the project provision
Other facilities would be as per the SAN personnel policy

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelors in Business Studies or Business Accounting
Should have one year or more experience of accounting or auditing, preferably in non profit organization
Can demonstrate good accounting skills, knowledge of standard accounting principles, knowledge of taxation, legal provisions and requirements
Have team engagement ability, good communication skills with team members, ability to lead
Ability to communicate in English
Skills of operating accounting software (We are using FAMAS)
Skills of Budgeting and maintaining internal control

Currently Swatantrata Abhiyan has been working at federal level and three provinces (Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudupaschim Province) campaigning to end Child Labor, Forced Labor, Human Trafficking along with various civil society organisations in the collaboration with Global March against Child Labor in Nepal.
