About the job

Location: Birgunj , Nepal

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Salary: 30k-35k Gross

Key Responsibilities:

1.Financial Transactions:

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger, supplier ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.

2.Letters of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantees (BG):

Assist with process Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees.
Assist with banks and financial institutions for LC and BG documentation and processing.

3.Tally Accounting Software:

Maintain and update financial records in Tally.
Generate financial reports using Tally.
Ensure Tally entries are accurate and up-to-date.

4.Party Ledger Management:

Maintain party ledgers and ensure accuracy of entries.
Reconcile party ledgers with statements received from parties.
Follow up with parties for any discrepancies or outstanding balances.

5.Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Provide support during audits and in preparation of audit schedules.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

6.Other Responsibilities:

Other task as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role.
Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
Good understanding of LC and BG processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
