Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a highly detail oriented and organized financial accountant assistant to work in our Accounting Department. The candidate must be detail oriented with great customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Processing, verifying, and posting receipts and Payments
Researching and resolving account discrepancies
Processing and recording transactions
Maintaining records regarding payments and account status
Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date
Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, Tax related work, Legal documentation and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
Generating reports and statements for internal use
Communicate with clients and customers to request payment and arrange payments plans
Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system
Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
Update client accounts based on payment
Monitor and analyze accounts receivable data timely to identify collection issues
Prepare monthly aging receivable/payable reports
Send out reminder notices at scheduled intervals if invoices not paid
Look after stock maintenance and purchase orders
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
2 years experience in a similar role preferred
Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software
Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
Attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments
Experience in Travel and Tours is more preferable

Note: Preference shall be given to candidates with past experience in Travel and Tours industry.

Trans Himalayan Trekking (P) Ltd., was established as a sister company in 1973. In Japan, Takashi Miyahara had established Himalaya Kanko Kaihatsu, a travel agency based in Tokyo & Osaka in 1969 and most of THT’s client base are Japanese, although we are increasingly getting requests from other countries as well.
