Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication
Able to use and operate Optical instruments and ODN Products. Mainly Splicing Machine, OTDR, FDB, JCs, Power Meter, PLC Splitter, EDFA, FTTH network design and WDM EDFA
Monitor the Optical network issues deployed in the different location and prepare the report for rectification
Monitor the Fiber Trunk link connection for ISP headed and escalate the issue to designated Vendor
Take care of fiber splicing inside Point of Distribution premises and rectify fiber optic problem areas
Conduct timely inspections to make sure that faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance
Keep track of the signal strength of different devices including SFP to provide adequate performance
To maintain and prepare the audit report of network design from third party vendors
Coordination and reporting to project team and MS team
To analyze overall optical power budget of Distribution Network
Managing, planning and roll out of area wise passive fiber network infrastructure for FTTH/FTTB
Create and implement technical inspection and quality assurance procedures
Work with different vendors as site survey vendors and would be responsible for understanding their reports and presenting to the team
Interface with various groups like Applications Engineering and Product Management to streamline item development and set-up
Technical support training to the team as and when required
Develop and manage a FTTH product
Meet SLA expectation for the team and maintain KPI
Field supervision and internal acceptance of work performed by project team
Receive handover from customer for MS work
