As Software Engineer, the engineer will be designing, implementing and maintaining Java applications and taking part in software and architectural development activities. The talent will also be responsible for preparing and producing releases of software components and ensuring designs follow specifications.
The candidate must have a BS/MS degree in computer science, or engineering and have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Java-based application development. The candidate should have proficient experience working with Maven, Jenkins, Chef, CodeDeploy, Bamboo, Octopus or any CI/CD tools and have a deep understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery. Furthermore, he/she must be willing and able to work with the DevOps team and contribute to CI/CD.
Senior / Mid-level .Net Engineer
Verisk Nepal is looking for a .Net Engineer having a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and more than 3 years of full-time work experience in .NET technologies. The applicant should have experience working on the JavaScript frameworks (like Angular 6+, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, JQuery), Web Markup Languages (HTML/HTML5, XML) and Style Sheet Language (CSS/CSS3). The applicant should be familiar with various design and architectural patterns and knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
The engineer will be designing and developing high-performance software libraries and APIs and implementing highly scalable, performant, fault-tolerant processing systems in an AWS environment. The engineer will also be responsible to create next-gen solutions for unique and challenging use cases and analyze, debug and fixing defects.
Engineering Manager (Technical Manager - Full Stack Java/.Net)
The prospective engineering manager must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and more than 8 years of professional work experience with a minimum of 1 year of team-leading experience. The technology leader should be proficient in architecture and technology framework - Full Stack JAVA and/or .NET technologies.
As an engineering manager, the talent will be managing the cross functional, unit/business, unit/division and work with the leadership and management group and define the roles, strategy, and roadmap of the division or business units. The manager will also be responsible for proposing and supporting resources/budget/logistic/skillset projections to senior management and set standards for team performance evaluation.
The ETL Developer must have more than 3 years of overall industry experience with experience in ETL design/development. The following developer should have experience in creating ETL pipelines including extraction, transformation, merging, filtering, joining, cleansing, scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting and have knowledge in data masking and data integrity check.
The subsequent developer will be supporting and developing data operation workload and also coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and various stakeholders. The ETL developer also will be responsible to identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.
Senior Software Engineer -Python
Verisk is looking for a talented and motivated senior software engineer having bachelor’s degrees from a recognized university and more than 3 years of professional experience with knowledge of object-oriented programming.
Candidates with the following skills will be given high priority:
Python Flask or Django
AWS services such as Ec2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation
Visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
SQL databases like SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL and NOSQL databases such as MongoDB/DynamoDB
Pandas, Numpy, regular expressions in python
Candidates with an active Github profile showcasing the work/personal projects done over the years will have an advantage.
Working as a senior system engineer, the apprentice should enhance the capability and overall reputation of the IS&T team, group, and division by offering exceptional customer service and technical ability to both internal and external customers. The engineer will be providing operational support for all environments within your technical group as well as escalation support for junior engineers and developing and maintaining scripts, automated processes and documentation for repeatable design patterns, to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time.
The eventual system engineer must have at least 3 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering. The candidate should have experience in designing, managing, and/or supporting enterprise infrastructure systems and networking concepts (OSI network layers, TCP/IP). The candidate should have familiarity with database platforms such as MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL and CI/CD tools and methodologies, system programming and scripting in Python and PowerShell preferred; a scripting/automation mindset.
Software Engineer - Frontend (Angular)
Talent with a passion for programming in general, rather than a specific language is highly encouraged to apply for this position. The talent must have a bachelor's in computer science with at least 3 years of professional experience in JavaScript / Angular Technology. The engineer should be expertise in JavaScript frameworks (Angular 4+; AngularJS, React, jQuery), RxJs, Redux, Web markup languages (HTML/HTML5, XML) and Style sheet language (CSS/CSS3), SASS, LESS and Well versed in using UX and UI design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe XD.
Talents with knowledge of programming languages – JAVA or .Net, JavaScript/JQuery, HTML, and CSS are highly encouraged to apply. As a QA Automation Engineer needs to provide technical expertise within the test automation and quality assurance domain. Work within the selenium-based framework and focus on continuous QA improvements.
Candidates with good communication skills, both written, and verbal, and knowledge of scrum methodologies will be preferred. Individuals having knowledge of AWS services would be a strong plus point.
The .Net expertise must be proficient in working with ASP.NET Web Forms, ADO.Net, SQL Server. The aspirant must have more than 2 years of industry experience of using C# .Net for software development. The aspirant should also have in-depth knowledge of T-SQL & relational database concepts and an understanding of Agile methodologies.
The software engineer will be developing software solutions by studying requirements, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes and also developing technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture. The potential engineer will also collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
