Our mission is to empower marginalized communities through equitable, inclusive and holistic development programs. There are four pillars in our developmental approach: Education, Health & Environment, Economy and Basic infrastructure development. These four pillars of development are supported by six major community empowerment programs namely Women’s Empowerment, Children’s Development, Youth Empowerment, Public Health & Medical care, Environment Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction. Position: Youth Empowerment Trainer
Location: Nishankhe, Okhaldhunga, Nepal
Starting Date: May 15
Tenure: 2 years (Extendable)
Salary: Rs. 40,000 to 55,000 (Negotiable), including facilities

ViN seeks a dedicated Youth Empowerment Trainer to join our team in Nishankhe, Okhaldhuga! In this exciting role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young people aged 16-30. You’ll design and deliver life skills training programs, organise engaging workshops, and mentor participants on their personal and professional success journey.

Here’s what you'll do:

  • Design and deliver impactful life skills training programs focusing on communication, problem-solving, leadership, and critical thinking.
  • Organise interactive workshops and activities that foster personal development and career readiness.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to young participants, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for them to thrive.
  • Develop and deliver engaging English language classes, empowering youth to connect with the global community.
  • Collaborate with international volunteers to create a diverse and enriching learning experience.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree Preferred) in Humanities, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Has 2-3 years of experience working with youth in educational, community development, or youth development settings.
  • Possesses expertise in designing and delivering engaging training programs.
  • Has strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Can build rapport and trust with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Boasts excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrates a proven ability to mentor and provide individual support.
  • Is brimming with creativity and resourcefulness in developing engaging activities and workshops.
  • Is fluent in the local language and English (an advantage).
