Contract type: Fixed term contract with three months of probation period

Program Background:

Inspire2Care Program is a community-based model of inclusive development implemented in direct partnership with provincial and local governments. The goal of the program is to prevent avoidable disabilities and improve quality of life of children and adults with disabilities and their families through community-based rehabilitation. It works to strengthen community support systems for the achievement of these goals.

Required Qualifications and Experiences:

Education and Experience

• Master's Degree in Public Health/Sociology/Rural Development or  development studies related subject from recognized institution with minimum five years of experience in managing programs related to health and/or disability 

Skills and Abilities

• Good analytical and research skills
• Advanced computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office Package - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills and fluency in Nepali and English
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with a wide range stakeholders
• Good knowledge of project cycle management and development
• Ability to work under pressure
• Self-starter with a high degree of initiative
• Proficient in information technology and previous experience of using IT in health programs preferred

Key responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

• Manage the team to implement Inspire2Care Program in Province No. 1
• Ensure administrative compliance of Province Office
• Support Deputy Director in HR related works of the Province office

Planning 

• Develop necessary plans and strategies for the program based on the national, provincial and local dynamics and changing scenario 
• Submit plan of Inspire2Care program (monthly, quarterly, annually) to Deputy Director 

Implementation

• Ensure effective implementation of planned activities of Inspire2Care program and provide necessary support to the district team in implementation of Inspire2Care program
• Play an active role in design and implementation of health awareness and advocacy activities in close coordination with Training and Leadership Development Section
• Advocate issues of disability prevention and rehabilitation at the provincial level

Coordination and communication:

• Establish strong relationship and maintain good rapport with the government entities, particularly Ministry of Social Development at Province level, stakeholders of program districts and Mayors/Chairperson and Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson of municipalities and rural municipalities
• Coordinate and establish networking with other government agencies and like-minded Non-Governmental Organizations working in the program areas

Monitoring and Supervision

• Support to organize review meeting at provincial level in coordination with Ministry of Social Development
• Support the Monitoring and Evaluation section to conduct base-line and end-line evaluations of livelihood programs
• Conduct regular field and monitoring visits and provide necessary feedback and suggestions to the team and stakeholders

Reporting and Documentation

• Ensure timely submission of plan and progress report of the program to the Monitoring and Evaluation Section for critical feedback 
• Maintain updated documentation of program activities and achievements, challenges and lessons learned
