Job Summary:

The Content Writer/Social Media Handler plays a crucial role in developing and executing content strategies to promote the art gallery and engage its audience. This position requires a strong command of written communication, creative thinking, and a deep appreciation for art. The Content Writer/Social Media Handler is responsible for creating compelling and engaging content across various platforms, managing social media channels, and fostering meaningful connections with the gallery's online community.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging and informative written content for various marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Write captivating descriptions and narratives for artworks, exhibitions, and events to generate interest and enhance visitor experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to gather information and insights for content development.
  • Manage the gallery's social media presence across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement, followers, and reach. Create compelling and visually appealing social media posts, including images, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and schedule social media content in advance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing campaigns to promote exhibitions, events, and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for online collaborations, partnerships, and influencer engagement to expand the gallery's reach.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Art History, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or social media handler, preferably in the art, culture, or creative industries.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong attention to detail and grammar.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging and shareable content across various digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools, analytics, and scheduling platforms.
  • Understanding of visual storytelling and ability to curate and select compelling visual content.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for art and knowledge of art history, contemporary art, and cultural trends.
