Job Overview:

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Senior Substation Design Engineer to join our team in Nepal.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Senior Substation Design Engineer services include but are not limited to the following:

• Senior Engineer is responsible for performing engineering assignments requiring professional mastery of subject matter and extensive experience associated with electric distribution and transmission substations.
• Acts as a project engineer for all substation project assignments and is accountable for developing the scope of work, leading the engineering design effort, including the development of engineering solutions, ensuring the quality of deliverables, managing the engineering schedule, coordinating the efforts of other assigned engineering disciplines, and follow-to-completion.
• Applicable experience in 11 kV through 132 kV/220 kV/ 400 kV substation design (one line, schematics, and wiring design along with other associate design work like grounding, lightning protection, load calculation, battery sizing, conduit design, BoM preparation, specification preparation) in accordance with associated IEEE/ANSI standards and able to execute substation design with minimal supervision
• Acts as Project Engineer providing electrical discipline leadership, including interdisciplinary coordination, and scheduling of engineering activities. Collaborates with other Engineering disciplines to ensure consistency and teamwork.
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to other junior engineers to assist in the development of their technical skills.
• Works closely with the Engineering Design and Drafting group to prepare, review and issue engineering drawings in support of both Capital and Expense projects.
• Support response to emergent events and/or equipment failures as necessary to support operations.
