All the work would be for the UK and international clients. You will have to work closely with our team in London and clients based in the UK and various countries around the globe. So, you will get exceptional international exposure.

Job Description

An exciting new opportunity awaits in a rapidly growing UK-based group of accountancy firms. You would be working from our office in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full bookkeeping and accounting records including purchase ledger, sales ledger & general ledger in cloud-based accounting software
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including but not limited to bank, sales ledger, purchase ledger, Intercompany, accruals & prepayments.
  • Prepare of monthly management accounts pack and present to the management team
  • Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
  • Regularly review the sales and purchase ledgers for overdue amounts and any other issues that require addressing
  • Credit control (chase outstanding debt)
  • Drive and support continuous improvement by supporting management initiatives and developing & documenting new processes
  • Prepare analysis & reports for management for use in making timely, fact-based business decision
  • Review time reports and cost/profit analysis and ask for explanation for variances
  • Perform general office management duties as required
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting and related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accountancy, tax, banking or trading houses
  • Fluent English (both verbal & written)
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software

Other Specification:

  • Full training (on the job & off the job) will be provided
  • Office Hours: 10 am to 7 pm (5 days a week) - Saturday and Sunday holiday
