Cedar Gate Technologies is looking for a Platform Engineer in the infrastructure department. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our cloud-based applications and services. Additionally, they will play a critical role in managing deployments and releases, incident handling, monitoring, and ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our platform.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Coordinate and manage deployments and releases, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery of features and updates to production environments.
• Perform day-to-day operations through predefined playbooks.
• Maintain 24/7 availability of AWS infrastructure, including monitoring, incident management, and on-call duties.
• Build pipelines to automate platform deployments (CI/CD) and ensure efficient release management.
• Secure the environment with robust IT security practices and updates.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor infrastructure, network, and resources to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Handle and respond to incidents, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure system stability and uptime.
• Lead incident response efforts, identifying root causes, implementing fixes, and learning from incidents to improve future processes.
• Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools and services.
• Collaborate with global teams to design optimal platform architecture.
• Perform other related tasks as necessary.
